Una Campagna Per Uomini

The above image is of Philosopher Federico Campagna wearing a scarf while speaking, showing an illusion of having long hair.

While watching Federico Campagna’s TaPRA Philosophy Interim ‘Magic, Exits/Endings and Water’ Keynote from 2019, a lowly woman, myself, began to witness his scarf slowly becoming long locks flowing below his shoulders. Were they all aware in the audience that this was happening there and on YouTube? I’m not entirely sure. So rather than let this illusion pass by, seeing that political discourses may confer that this is a miraculous instance worth portraying in a more detailed format such as a painting or illustration, I wrote this paper about Federico’s scarf. How fortunate are we today to have this sort of medium to share this visual miracle within a form of technological documentation? Let’s dive deeper in understanding the fundamental shock that is long miraculous hair for men as “una campagna per uomini”.

Jesus Christ

For nearly two millennia, we have painted and drawn Jesus Christ with long hair. Commonly based on visions, Jesus the Christ could have had long hair circa 0 – 30 AD. As we see in the famous Shroud of Turin, recently dating back 2000 years ago to the time of Christ, we can see evidence of long hair on Jesus the Christ still during His death, yet before his resurrection. I have often dreamed and wondered what Jesus’ hair might have looked like before his crucifixion. Yes, His face certainly healed after being beaten to death, but scriptures recognize that He was unrecognizable to some degree after His resurrection from death.

“And behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. And they were talking with each other about all theses things which had taken place. While they were talking and discussing, Jesus Himself approached and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him. And He said to them, “What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking?” And they stood still, looking sad.”

This Shroud acts nearly as a snapshot of Jesus’ three day death period, capturing his healing and transfiguration process post spiritual relinquish. If there is any miraculous illusion remaining within the Christian church, this is the most valuable, the illusion being that death is preserved forever away in this cloth from the past. Preservation of illusions should be seen as preservation of spiritual and religious cultural histories. This text aims to explain a comprehensive understanding of the urgencies that thus apply to illusion and mentality preservation, as seen in our current psychological and therapeutic practices. Yes, illusions are only a gentle place within our psychologies.

Jesus Christ’s face as shown on the Shroud of Turin during His resurrection process, after being violently beaten

After having several visions and dreams of Christ Jesus, as many of us surely have, I developed a series of paintings and illustrations aiming to capture His image as best as possible in various styles for others to recognize only just one simple miracle such as the visible, human, face of God.

Below, these paintings and illustrations of the Son of God are gentle in nature and condone nor tempt the weak in spirit, only vanity is challenged through these sketches. When loving the poor has never been more crucial, the King of Kings went to the lowest point while being perfection Himself. My prayer for these images are that they are not idolized nor brought into the attention of the masses carelessly, but that the thought and blessing of each frame is translated to show our miraculous reality so that it isn’t completely ineffable any longer.

Please take your time viewing these paintings, as I am sure that God has a surprise for each of us within them somewhere.

Some may ponder at the question of how I’ve had these types of visions. I would like to shuffle back to the point made previously about Federico Campagna’s long hair illusion.

While some visions may be directly apparent and present, others may exist within a state of deep depression and need. When a miracle is needed, visions can be found. This example of Federico Campagna’s scarf hair, if an example at all, can be a product of apophenic proportions to demonstrate what a possible vision state might seem like to some individuals.

Dr. Federico Campagna

A brave man at that, he is an excellent example of mythological education. Dr. Federico Campagna graduated from Bocconi in Milan, Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art in London within the fields of ontological economic systemic understandings.

What does this initial presentation of illusion mean? It simply means that reality is transparently comprehensible at the statute of choice. We choose to see reality how we end up seeing it. With this in mind, do we as human heirs and heiresses of reality have the responsibility to choose a healing reality and thus teach such a decision making process? Is it the inability that thus hinders us as people to choose healing rather than decay? If the answers to these questions are correct, are we not in owe to the length of our hair in order to be as healing as Christ Jesus in the least? Faith does have an effect with or without hair, but thankfulness is in order if humanity’s most famous healer chose long hair, which was respected even through His death. Have we lost the average length of men’s hair?

Let’s take a look at an imagined and drafted hairstyle for our brave Philosopher, Dr. Federico Campagna, where little bounds of length are taken into consideration and the Shroud of Turin leads the march in a just style approach.

Shenece Oretha

Within the realm of play, Shenece Oretha has a message for us all to learn about as an expert artist in the field. Whilst some illusions can cast a sense of stress or fear, Shenece has perfected her art of play to show true glory. Below we can see her modeling a crown during her conversation with the curators of her show.
